Bogk's Tavern
The tavern was a popular gathering place in the community for many years.
It was started by Joe and Etta Bogk in the early 1900s and remained open until the late 1960s. Local residents who lived in Butte des Morts during Prohibition always gave a wink and nod when posed with the question of how a tavern could have survived during that time.
